NWI GMRS is a non-profit organization dedicated to community based radio communications. Our goal is to provide a communications experience that educates, empowers, and helps our local community.

Be it for hobby, fun and entertainment, aiding in local communications for events or in times of emergency, repairing equipment for those who can not, or supplying a repeater for community use, we enjoy it all and these are the reasons this group exists.

NWI GMRS is not only about GMRS radio, but all community two-way radio communications. We encourage GMRS, HAM, MURS, FRS, and even CB'ers to join us! We all enjoy radio for similar reasons, why not work together and combine all of our resources through NWI GMRS.

What’s New?

• Munster Repeater Upgrade Complete!
  We have finished the Munster repeater upgrade. Removed the mobile duplexer and installed a BpBr duplexer. At the same time we added an ARR preamp for the receive. This upgrade has greatly improved the ability of the repeater to pick up faint signals. We have also rescheduled the move to the water tower until the spring time. The pictures section for the munster repeater have also been updated.
